A women’s strawweight scrap has been added to an expected UFC card on November 14 as Cory McKenna faces Kay Hansen.
The news was revealed during the Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 29 broadcast.
McKenna (5-1-0) is making her UFC debut and does so on the strength of a three-fight winning streak. McKenna competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 28, defeating Vanessa Demopoulos by unanimous decision. McKenna has suffered a single defeat as a professional against Micol DiSegni at Cage Warriors 97.
Hansen (7-3-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Jinh Yu Frey at UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker. Hansen won four of six when competing in Invicta FC and she left the organization riding a two fight winning streak. Hansen has won four pro fights by submission and an additional two by KO/TKO.
The unannounced UFC card is set for Saturday, November 14. No location, broadcast details or main event have been confirmed. Fightful will provide live coverage of the event.
