Dana White Says Bad Judging Took Place During Alexander Volkanovski/Max Holloway Fight

UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski scored a controversial split decision win over former UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway in the co-main event of UFC 251.

One person who wasn’t happy with the judging for the title bout was UFC President Dana White, who blasted the judges after the bout.

“Listen, man, you can’t leave it to these guys,” White said after the event (via Alexander K. Lee of MMA Fighting). “We’ve got some bad judging. We’ve got some bad judging and—I don’t know, has Max been in here yet? I’m sure he’s devastated.”

The judges scored the bout 48-47, 47-48, 48-47 in favor if the defending champion, giving Volkanovski a second win over Holloway.

White is also wondering if there is anybody out there who actually scored the bout in favor of Volkanovski, other than the judges.

“Did anybody in here score it for Volkanovski?” White asked. “Anybody have it for Volkanovski? Nobody in the media? I don’t know, we’ll have to figure it out.”

During the Fightful live coverage of UFC 251, a score of 48-47 was awarded to the former UFC Featherweight Champion.
