Dana White Says Miocic vs. Cormier III In The Works

A huge trilogy bout could be coming our way between UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic and former two division UFC champion Daniel Cormier

UFC President Dana White recently confirmed that a third bout between the two heavyweight greats is in the works.

Report: Kamaru Usman vs. Jorge Masvidal 2 Is “Likely” Next

“Stipe is recovering from that fight. He’s got some bumps and bangs from that fight. We’re waiting for him to heal and then yeah, we’re going to do the trilogy,” White told Barstool Sports (via Damon Martin of MMA Fighting).

Miocic and Cormier have met twice before under the UFC banner, with Cormier scoring a first round knockout victory at UFC 226 to capture the gold and then Miocic scored a fourth round knockout win at UFC 241 to recapture the once lost championship.

There has been no comment from either Cormier or Miocic as to a potential third fight between them. A report from MMA Fighting states that the potential rubber match would most likely happen next year, as both are still recovering from their last bout at UFC 241, which took place less than two months ago.
