Dana White Was Praying For UFC 250 Main Event To Be Stopped

Two division UFC champion Amanda Nunes successfully defended the women’s featherweight title against Felicia Spencer in the main event of UFC 250.

A defeated Spencer took quite the beating in the twenty five minutes she spent in the Octagon with Nunes and UFC President Dana White says he was praying for the fight to be stopped sooner.

“That woman is one of the toughest human beings I’ve ever seen in my life,” White said at the post-fight press conference (via Tristen Critchfield of Sherdog). “I was praying somebody was going to stop that fight before the start of the fifth round. She’s tough, and you can’t take anything away from her going five rounds with the best to ever do it.”

Spencer has now suffered two losses under the UFC banner, with the other coming to former UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cyborg.

White also says that Nunes’ performance this past Saturday Night proved why she is the G.O.A.T.

“Amanda Nunes, I told you guys many times is the GOAT,” White said. “She set the tempo, set the pace of the fight. Did what she wanted, when she wanted to do it. Everything that you could see in an MMA fight, she put out there tonight.”

There is no word at this time as to how long Spencer could be out of action for, as the medical suspensions haven’t been released yet by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC).
