Diego Sanchez Arrested For DUI, Probation Violation In New Mexico

Diego Sanchez was arrested on Monday in Socorro, NM on charges of aggravated driving under the influence and probation violation.

Sanchez was arrested in July 2025 for shooting a loaded gun out of a car window while riding in the passenger seat on the highway. He was sentenced to five years of supervised probation in March. Prosecutors had requested a two-year prison sentence for a fourth-degree felony charge of shooting at or from a motor vehicle. A second charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon was dropped as part of a plea agreement.

One condition of that probation required Sanchez to stay away from alcohol.

Sanchez retired from MMA in 2022. He won the first season of The Ultimate Fighter.
