Gillian Robertson is back in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night Prague, facing Veronica Macedo in a women’s flyweight division attraction.
While Robertson usually has Din Thomas in her corner during fights, it won’t happen at UFC Prague because Thomas is assisting UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley for a title defense against Kamaru Usman at UFC 235.
“He’s actually not going to be in my corner for this fight, I just up here to have camp with him because Tyron Woodley fights the week after mine. So he can’t really afford to take that time away from Tyron, but I’m gonna have Kayla Hracho in my corner. She’s been one of my main training partners at ATT and we’ve been together for two years now, where we’re drilling every single day. She’s competing with EFC (Worldwide) in South Africa right now and she’s going to be flying from South Africa to Prague for me,” says Robertson in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.
Hracho is now a professional MMA fighter, who went undefeated at 3-0-0 during her three fight stint as an amateur competitor.
Robertson is starting to venture out into the modeling world, which started at the request of some of her friends.
“That was actually just a few friends, they’re just messaging me and they’re like ‘hey, I wanna get my photography out there, do you mind (posing for photos)?’ I was like ‘sure, why not?’ That’s definitely something I just tried out recently, I’m definitely comfortable doing it and they save I’ve gotten a good response from the fan base. I’m actually talking to a photographer up here in Milwaukee right now to try to get some pictures,” says Robertson.
UFC Fight Night Prague takes place on Saturday, February 23 from the 02 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic with Jan Blachowicz and Thiago Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
