Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Kelvin Gastelum first collided in the Octagon at UFC 224 in May of 2018, with Gastelum scoring a split decision victory on that night.
A defeated Souza wants a chance a retribution against Gastelum and he made those feelings known through social media.
Gastelum would unintentionally get things started by saying on Twitter that he wanted to fight this November at UFC 244:

Souza would then ask for the rematch with Gastelum through both Twitter and Instagram:

Jacare has won just one of two since the first encounter with Gastelum, while Gastelum has gone winless since their first bout.
There has been no response to the challenge from Souza by Gastelum, who hasn’t competed since a losing effort to UFC Interim Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya at UFC 236.
UFC 244 takes place on Saturday, November 2 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
