“I would knock him out,” he said to Helen Yee of Yahoo Sports (via Abhinav Kini of Low Kick MMA). “I believe second round. I’m very confident with the second round because the first round, I’m always taking time to see what my opponent is offering me, is trying to do during the fight. So then I can figure it out in the first round how things are working and go a little harder on the second one. So that’s why I really believe I can knock people out this way.”

Dos Santos has picked up twenty one wins as a professional MMA fighter and fifteen of them have come by way of KO/TKO. Of those fifteen wins by way of KO/TKO, a total of three of them have come in the second round.

UFC 239 takes place on Saturday, July 6 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Jon Jones and Thiago Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
