Report: Francis Ngannou Faces Junior Dos Santos At UFC 239

A heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC 239 according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as #2 Francis Ngannou is in action against #3 Junior Dos Santos.

Ngannou (13-3-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Curtis Blaydes and Cain Velasquez. Ngannou has previously challenged for the UFC Heavyweight Title, losing to then champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 220. Ngannou has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and each one of them came by way of decision.

Dos Santos (21-5-0) enters the contest on the strength of a three fight winning streak, last defeating Derrick Lewis by second round TKO at UFC Fight Night Wichita. Dos Santos is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, defeating Cain Velasquez at UFC On Fox 1 to capture the gold. Dos Santos hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years and that last loss came to former UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 211.
