The UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has revealed that when Jan Blachowicz was light heavyweight champion, he had plans to fight him — this and much more on Wednesday's social media roundup.

In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, the dominant UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has revealed that he previously had plans to go all the way up to light heavyweight and challenge the then 205 pound champion Jan Blachowicz.

If Usman was to go through with the plans he would've been moving up to a weight division which is 35 pounds higher than the one he currently fights at, and with Usman definitely not having to cut weight for the fight, he would probably be outweighed by about 20 pounds come fight night.

Usman spoke about the fact that he planned to go straight up to 205 and skip 185 where his friend Israel Adesanya is the champion.

This does not surprise anyone as Usman has always been very vocal that no matter how many welterweight contenders he got through, he would never move up in weight and fight Adesanya due to his friendship with him.
