Kevin Holland officially announces his retirement from MMA

UFC superstars who love soccer and their favourite clubs

Following his dominant defeat to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 279, Kevin Holland teased that he could be done with MMA for good. Despite many people thinking this was just a reactionary comment from Holland, he continued making social media posts hinting at his retirement.

During a podcast appearance which was released today, Holland officially confirmed his retirement from MMA and stated that unless something 'magical' pops up he is 100 per cent retired.

See what Holland had to say in full below.

The main reason as to why so many people are sceptical about this statement from Holland is because of how young he is and the fact that despite not being ranked in either the welterweight or middleweight division in which he has competed in, he is one of the most exciting and entertaining fighters on the current UFC roster.

If Holland is being serious and has genuinely retired from MMA then it is unfortunate as he has so much potential and he is one of the most loved fighters in the UFC.
