Khama Worthy Confirms UFC Release: ‘This Lion’s Still Got The Hunger In Him’

Khama Worthy has been released by the UFC.

The 34-year old lightweight has been cut from the promotion following three consecutive stoppage losses following a 2-0 start to his UFC career.

Worthy took to Instagram to make the announcement:

"I just got word from my management team that I’ve been cut from the UFC.
I just wanted to thank the @ufc and @danawhite for the amazing opportunity!
@iridiumsportsagency and my man @jasonkhouse you guy’s helped me change my life and I can’t thank you enough for that. To of my loyal fans in Pittsburgh and all over the word, I thank you so much for all the support and love.

After a 2-0 start to his promotional tenure, Worthy was stopped in the first-round by Ottman Azaitar, followed by another pair of first-round stoppages to Jamie Mullarkey and, most recently, Jai Herbert, last month.
