Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor is now hours from taking place, and on the day of the fight, we find out their guaranteed purse amounts.
The UFC Lightweight Champion McGregor will earn a $30 million, while Floyd Mayweather's number is set at a minimum of $100 million.
These numbers are nowhere near the actual amounts that either man will end up making. Conor McGregor has stated in interviews that if the pay-per-view reaches record levels that he could earn as much as $100 million. Floyd Mayweather has thrown around $300 million as a possible number that he'd get paid.
This is quite the contrast for McGregor. For last year's UFC 202 fight with Nate Diaz, he earned a guarantee of $3 million with no win bonus. While he made much more off the extremely successful pay-per-view, he'll make at least ten times as much on his base pay against Mayweather.
Fightful.com will have live coverage of Mayweather vs. McGregor, including a live post-show podcast as soon as the event is over.
