Paulo Costa Celebrates Being The Most Tested Fighter In The UFC, Reality Tells A Different Tale

Paulo Costa was last seen in action at UFC 241, scoring a unanimous decision victory over Yoel Romero.

All fighters who are contracted to the UFC are required to be drug tested multiple times a year by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and Costa is no different.

Yahoo Esportes recently published an article stating that Costa was the most tested fighter by USADA in 2019, which lead to the fighter posting the following on Instagram:

 

The USADA website tells a different tale than Costa and Yahoo Esportes, as Costa, who was tested 14 times in 2019, wasn’t the most tested fighter in the promotion. The USADA website states that Omari Akhmedov (14), Jose Aldo (17), Donald Cerrone (14), Claudia Gadelha (14), Kelvin Gastelum (14), Sean O’Malley (26) and Chance Rencountre (17) were either tied with or tested more than Costa in 2019.
