Yan Xiaonan needed a new opponent for UFC 238 after the withdrawal of Felice Herrig and now she has one because Marc Raimondi of ESPN is reporting that Angela Hill has accepted the short notice opportunity.
Xiaonan (10-1-0-1NC) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, defeating the trio of Kailin Curran, Viviane Pereira and Syuri Kondo. Xiaonan has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter, with five coming by way of KO/TKO and five coming by way of decision. Xiaonan has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Karina Hallman at Martial Combat 10 in September of 2010.
Hill (9-6-0) competed less than a week ago at UFC Fight Night Fort Lauderdale, defeating Jodie Esquibel by unanimous decision. Hill has competed a total of fifteen times as a professional MMA fighter and ten of those bouts went the distance. Hill also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 20, losing to Carla Esparza in the opening round of the reality show.
UFC 238 takes place on Saturday, June 8 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois with Henry Cejudo and Marlon Moraes headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
