Gerald Meerschaert needed a new opponent for UFC 250 after the withdrawal of Ian Heinisch and now he has one because Anthony Ivy has accepted the short notice opportunity.
Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the news and the bout is expected to remain a part of the preliminary card.

Meerschaert has seen his last four fights go into the third round, with two of those four bouts going the distance. Meerschaert has picked up thirty one wins as a professional MMA fighter and twenty three of them came by way of submission.
Ivy (8-2-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so on a five fight winning streak. Ivy is the current Warriors Xtreme Challenge Welterweight Champion, defeating Willis Black to win the gold at WXC 82. Ivy has competed a total of ten times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his bouts went the distance.
