Report: Claudia Gadelha vs. Yan Xiaonan Rescheduled For November 7 UFC Card

Claudia Gadelha and Yan Xiaonan are once again set to tangle.

Two two women were supposed to meet later this month at UFC 253, but Gadelha suffered a knee injury and the bout was called off. A report from Combate says that the fight between Gadelha and Xiaonan will get rescheduled for a yet to be announced UFC card on November 7.

Gadelha (18-4-0) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Angela Hill and Randa Markos. Gadelha hasn’t suffered a defeat in well over a year with that last loss coming to Nina Ansaroff at UFC 231. Gadelha has previously challenged for the UFC Women’s Strawweight Title, losing to then champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale.

Xiaonan (12-1-0-1NC) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, picking up wins over Kailin Curran, Viviane Pereira, Syuri Kondo, Karolina Kowalkiewicz and the aforementioned Hill. Xiaonan has competed five times thus far in the UFC and all of those encounters went to the judges scorecards. Xiaonan has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of decision.

The yet to be announced UFC card is set for Saturday, November 7 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
