Report: Macy Chiasson vs. Sijara Eubanks Added To UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Sakai

A women’s bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Sakai as #12 Macy Chiasson faces #14 Sijara Eubanks.

Brett Okamoto of ESPN first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.

Chiasson (6-1-0) has won four of five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Pannie Kianzad, Gina Mazany, Sarah Moras and Shanna Young. Chiasson was the featherweight winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 28, defeating the aforementioned Kianzad in the finals of the reality show. Chiasson has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Lina Lansberg at UFC Fight Night Copenhagen.

Eubanks (5-4-0) has won just one of her last three in the UFC, with that lone win coming over the aforementioned Moras at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira. Eubanks was originally set to fight for the right to be called the first ever UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale, but would be replaced by Roxanne Modafferi due is weight cutting issues. Eubanks has competed nine times as a professional MMA fighter and seven of those bouts went the distance.

UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Sakai takes place on Saturday, September 5 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Alistair Overeem and Augusto Sakai headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
