It appears that it is a one and done when it comes to Roman Bogatov and the UFC because the promotion has reportedly released the fighter from his contract.
Tass.ru first reported the news, while The Peoples MMA posted the following on Twitter, which features a statement from Bogatov:
Roman Bogatov's contract with the UFC has been terminated after one fight in which he hit his opponent with 3 or 4 illegal strikes.

Multiple reports have surfaced that Bogatov was released by the UFC for landing a multitude of illegal strikes against Leonardo Santos at UFC 251, but that hasn’t been confirmed at this time.
Bogatov (10-1-0, 0-1-0 UFC) competed in his lone UFC fight at the aforementioned UFC 251 card, losing to the aforementioned Santos. Bogatov was an M-1 Challenge Lightweight Champion before signing with the UFC, defeating Rubenilton Pereira to win the gold at M-1 Challenge 97. Bogatov has picked up five of his 10 professional MMA wins by way of submission, while three more came by decision.
There is no word yet on where Bogativ will sign with next, but the free agent fighter is free to sign with whomever he chooses.
