A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Island 6 as Said Nurmagomedov faces Mark Striegl.

Nurmagomedov (13-2-0) has won two of three under the UFC banner with those wins coming over Justin Scoggins and Ricardo Ramos. Nurmagomedov hasn’t picked up a victory in almost two years, as his last win happened in February of 2019. Nurmagomedov has picked up seven of 13 wins by decision, but has also suffered both of his professional MMA defeats by decision.
Striegl (18-2-0-1NC) is making his UFC debut in this fight and he has won four of his last six bouts. Striegl is going to be competing for the first time in over 16 months, with his last bout coming at URCC 77 in April of 2019. Striegl has competed 21 times as a professional MMA fighter and 16 of those contests ended by way of submission.
UFC Fight Island 6 is set for Saturday, October 17 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
