Report: Sean O’Malley Faces Eddie Wineland At UFC 250

A bantamweight division attraction is slated for UFC 250 as Sean O’Malley faces Eddie Wineland.

Ariel Helwani of ESPN first reported the news, but the bouts spot on the card isn’t known at this time.

O’Malley (11-0-0) has already picked up three wins in the UFC, defeating Terrion Ware, Andre Soukhamthath and Jose Alberto Quinonez. O’Malley also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 2, defeating Alfred Khashakyan by first round knockout. O’Malley is still undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has lasted over five years.

Wineland (24-13-1) has won just one of his last three in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Grigory Popov at UFC 238. Wineland has previously challenged for the UFC Bantamweight Title, losing to then champion Renan Barao at UFC 165. Wineland has picked up twenty four wins as a professional MMA fighter and fifteen of them came by way of KO/TKO.

UFC 250 takes place on Saturday, June 6 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Amanda Nunes and Felicia Spencer headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
