Report: Sijara Eubanks Replaces Marion Reneau At UFC 253

Marion Reneau has suffered an undisclosed injury and has been pulled from UFC 253, replacing her against no. 7 Ketlen Vieira is no. 15 Sijara Eubanks.

Vieira (10-1-0) is looking to rebound from her first professional MMA defeat which came against Irene Aldana at UFC 245. Vieira is competing on her fourth straight pay-per-view card, going 2-1-0 in those previous three appearances. Vieira has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter and four of them came by way of submission.

Eubanks (6-4-0) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Julia Avila and Sarah Moras. Eubanks hasn’t been defeated in over a year with that last loss coming to Bethe Correia at UFC Fight Night Mexico City. Eubanks has competed 10 times as a professional MMA fighter and eight of those bouts went the distance.

UFC 253 takes place on Saturday, September 26 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
