Report: UFC Fight Night Minneapolis Main Card Brings In Over 1 Million Viewers

This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to just one major event in the form of UFC Fight Night Minneapolis, which saw Francis Ngannou defeat former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos in the main event.

The show was a successful one when it comes to TV viewership because MMA Fighting is reporting that an average of 1,091,000 viewers checked out the event. The main card and preliminary card, which featured a total of six fights each, aired entirely on ESPN.

Other fights on the main card saw Joseph Benavidez defeat Jussier Formiga, Demian Maia defeat Anthony Rocco Martin, Vinc Pichel defeat Roosevelt Roberts, Drew Dober defeat Marco Polo Reyes and Alonzo Menifeld defeat Paul Craig.

A six fight preliminary card also aired live on ESPN, with Ricardo Ramos defeating Journey Newson in the featured spot, brought in an average of 553,000 viewers. Other bouts on the preliminary card saw Eryk Anders defeat Vinicius Moreira, Jared Gordon defeat Dan Moret, Dalcha Lungiambula defeat Dequan Townsend, Amanda Ribas defeat Emily Whitmire and Maurice Greene defeat Junior Albini.

Up next for the UFC in UFC 239, which will see a four fight preliminary card air live on ESPN, followed by a five fight pay-per-view card on ESPN+.
