Report: UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns Main Card Draws Over 1 Million Viewers

MMA returned to Las Vegas, Nevada last weekend in the form of UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns, which was headlined by Gilbert Burns scoring a unanimous decision win over former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley.

The MMA fans tuned in for the show, as ShowBuzz Daily reports that 1.021 million viewers watched the five fight main card on ESPN. Other bouts on the main card saw Augusto Sakai defeat Blagoy Ivanov, Billy Quarantillo defeat Spike Carlyle, Roosevelt Roberts defeat Brok Weaver and Mackenzie Dern defeat Hannah Cifers.

There was a six fight preliminary card on ESPN, which had Katlyn Chookagian defeat Antonina Shevchenko in the featured fight, and that brought in 615,000 viewers. Other fights on that preliminary card saw Daniel Rodriguez defeat Gabriel Green, Jamahal Hill defeat Klidson Abreu, Brandon Royval defeat Tim Elliott, Casey Kenney defeat Louis Smolka and Chris Gutierrez defeat Vince Morales.

Up next for the UFC is the UFC 250 pay-per-view, which is headlined by Amanda Nunes defending the women’s featherweight title against Felicia Spencer. A seven fight preliminary card will also air live on ESPN, with Chase Hooper and Alex Caceres in the featured spot.
