A new threat is making his way to the heavyweight division according to MMA TV as Amir Aliakbari has signed with the promotion.

Although MMA TV reported the signing, such information as the length of the contract or any financial numbers associated with the deal weren’t reported.
Aliakbari (10-1-0) enters the promotion while in the midst of a five fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years. Aliakbari suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Mirko Cro Cop at Rizin 5 in December of 2016. Aliakbari has previously picked up victories over two UFC veterans, with those wins coming against Daniel Omielanczuk and Heath Herring.
There is no word yet on when Aliakbari is expected to make his promotional debut or whom that bout will come against.
