Sean Ross Stats For UFC 248: Records Set, Historic Fight

- UFC 248 was the first time Weili Zhang had ever been to the fourth round in a pro MMA fight, including five championship fights. 

- Joanna Jędrzejczyk competed in her tenth UFC Championship fight at UFC 248. This extends a female record that she's already held. She also extended her record for strawweight title fights, with nine.  She's 6-4 overall in title fights.

- UFC 248 was Yoel Romero's fourth UFC Championship opportunity, although he'd missed weight in two of those previous opportunities and became ineligible for the title. He's not won the title in any of those.

- Yoel Romero has lost three fights in a row, and lost four of his last five fights. He's also lost a fight every year since 2017, and lost his last four fights in America. 

- Israel Adesanya, Sean O'Malley, Mark Madsen, Rodolfo Viera all walked out of UFC 248 undefeated.

- Weili Zhang has now won 21 consecutive MMA fights. 

- Both Weili Zhang and Israel Adesanya won UFC Championships in 2019 and successfully defended them in 2020, and neither had fought in the UFC before 2018.

- Sean O'Malley's UFC 248 win came after a more than two year layoff. He's now won 15 fights in a row across professional and amateur ranks.

- Weili Zhang has won UFC fights via knockout, submission, unanimous decision and split decision in her year-and-a-half career.

- Rodolfo Viera has won six of his seven MMA fights via choke. Three via arm triangle and three via rear naked choke.

- Neil Magny has now won three of his last four fights. He returned after a 16-month layoff. This is a far crazy from when he had 6 fights between February 2014 and February 2015.

- Alex Oliveira's win over Max Griffin ended a three-fight losing streak. Griffin has now lost four of his last five UFC fights. 

- Beneil Dariush has now won four fights in a row, with three straight finishes. This streak followed a three-fight winless streak for him. 

- Israel Adesanya now has an interim title win, a title unification win, and a title defense win to his credit. He moves to 19-0 for his career.
