People never know who they will bump into when attending a Veterans Day flag waving rally, but one unlucky person got physical with the wrong woman.
Tara LaRosa, who competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 18 and is a longtime MMA veteran, attended a Veterans Day rally alongside members of the Proud Boys, who are classified as an extremists group by the FBI.
An anti-Trump protestor attended the rally and got into an altercation with LaRosa, which the fighter posted via a video on Twitter:
NEW video from yesterday’s altercation at the Veteran’s Day flag wave in Portland, OR over I-84. She failed to start a fight w/me, so she chose someone else. In this video she clearly attacks another woman & throws the first punch. I broke up the fight & kept her from being hurt. pic.twitter.com/G0dGbEkXKn— Tara LaRosa (@TaraLaRosa) November 11, 2019
A second video was posted on Youtube by That’s The Point With Brandon, showing LaRosa subduing the alleged protestor:
The Oregonian spoke with Portland Police Sgt. Kevin Allen, who says there are differing accounts of what went down at the rally.
“There are conflicting versions of the events, so we are gathering all of the information we can and referring it to the district attorney,” says Allen.
LaRosa also took to Twitter to show some of the damage suffered while subduing the protestor:
UPDATE: It’s been 72 hours since I was bitten by the woman who attacked us at the Veteran’s Day flag wave in Portland, OR. Luckily, her mouth did not make contact with my skin. She bit me through a hoodie, a T-shirt, and my sports bra. pic.twitter.com/EjkCCS66l9— Tara LaRosa (@TaraLaRosa) November 13, 2019
There is no word yet on if charges are going to be filed against the protestor, LaRosa or anybody else involved in the physicality at the rally.
