UFC Champ Khabib Nurmagomedov Wins "Best Mom" Medal, Seriously

Khabib Nurmagomedov may have retired from professional MMA competition after UFC 254, but that hasn’t stopped him from garnering more accomplishments outside of the sport.

The retired fighter recently revealed on Instagram Stories that he was awarded the “Best Mom” medal in his native Dagestan:

“This is the medal they presented me with in Derbent,” the fighter said in his Instagram stories (via RT Sports).

According to Bloody Elbow, the “Best Mom” medal was awarded to Nurmagomedov for honoring the promise made to his mother to retire at UFC 254. Nurmagomedov, since retiring from professional MMA competition, is completing a degree in agricultural studies at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics while also working on his farm.

UFC President Dana White has hinted that Nurmagomedov could return to MMA to attain a 30-0-0 MMA record, but Nurmagomedov seems happy in retirement at the moment.
