A lot of action took place this past Saturday Night at UFC Fight Night Mexico City, which did end in controversy when the main event bout between Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens ended in a no contest due to an accidental eye poke from Rodriguez to Stephens.
Despite the controversial ending, a total of four fighters did earn bonuses for their efforts at UFC Fight Night Mexico City. Carla Esparza and Alexa Grasso would pick up an additional $50,000 each for Fight Of The Night, while the duo of Paul Craig and Steven Peterson would pick up an additional $50,000 each for Performances Of The Night. That means that a total of $200,000 was handed out in bonuses, which is the norm for the majority of UFC events.
There was no information revealed about the live gate and/or attendance, it is unknown when that information will get revealed.
Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night Copenhagen, which is going to be headlined by a middleweight division attraction between Jack Hermansson and Jared Cannonier, which will also be streaming live this Saturday on ESPN+.
