UFC Fight Night Newark Live Gate, Attendance & Bonuses

UFC Fight Night Newark took place yesterday and in the main event, it was former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington scoring a unanimous decision win over former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler.

A lot of fans showed up to watch the battle of former champions as a total of 10,427 people were in attendance for the event. The live gate came in at $687,778 and MMA Junkie reports that the average amount of revenue for each ticket was $65.96.

Bonuses were also handed out at the event, with Nasrat Haqparast and Matt Schnell picking up $50,000 each for Performances Of The Night, while Antonina Shevchenko and Lucie Pudilova picked up $50,000 each for Fight Of The Night. A total of $200,000 was handed out in bonuses for the event, which the norm for the majority of UFC events. 

Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night Uruguay, which features UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko defending the gold against Liz Carmouche in the main event. There is no word yet on the expected attendance and/or live gate for the card, while another $200,000 is expected to be handed out in bonus money for the competitors at the event.
