Igor Severino has became the first fighter in UFC history to *literally* get fired during his fight.
During their UFC Vegas 89 encounter, Igor Severino was disqualified and handed the loss against Andre Lima.
Watch as Severino was DQ'd due to biting Lima's left arm while clinched up against the fence.

In an update provided by renowned MMA journalist, Kevin Iole, it's been confirmed by UFC President, Dana White, that Severino has been released from the company following 'bite gate.'

According to Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting, Lima's agent was told by Dana White that he would be receiving a bonus for dealing with Severino's actions during their bout.
