Accused Stalker Of Liv Morgan Found Not Guilty By Reason Of Insanity

Shawn Chan, the man accused of stalking Liv Morgan, has been found ot guilty by reason of insanity.

POST Wrestling reports The U.S. District Court in the Middle District of Florida held its trial on Monday and ruled Chan not guilty by reason of insanity on a charge of interstate domestic violence. The court session lasted just over thirty minutes. Chan waived his right to a jury trial, allowing Judge Mary S. Scriven to decide the case.

Chan has been detained for a year.

Two separate psychologists determined that Chan was unable to appreciate the wrongfulness of his actions due to the severity of his mental disease. Clinicians said that Chan had not been treated for mental health issues in the past and that he had not seen a doctor in more than 20 years.

On May 26 2025, Chan flew from Scarborough, Ontario to Orlando, telling customs agents in Florida that he would be staying at the WWE Performance Center. According to the criminal complaint, four days later, Chan traveled several hours to Liv Morgan’s home, circled Morgan’s property several times and entered through her backyard. He then attempted to gain entry to her front door but was unsuccessful. He found and held an air pellet that was sitting inside her front porch, and after waiting several hours, left a note and departed.

According to the criminal complaint against him, the note left at Morgan’s home, contained his name, address in Canada, and his phone number, which read, in part, “It’s me Shawn the guy you all hang out with on [gaming platform deleted] online. You’ve been trying to contact me, or should I say reach out to me when I’m absent from that game. So who’s the stalker huh?! I NEVER said and did anything bad for over 10 years, yet you all dared hating me for no reason. I came here to pay just a friendly visit, nothing more. Yet, I’m the one who looks like a stalker thx to all of you. And you all think I’m going to have empathy, sympathy and care about any of you anymore? I will start talking and doing whatever I want despite all your shoosh finger faces that you all make. Yea, I just wanted to let you know that I was here.”

Chan was arrested on June 3rd at the WWE Performance Center after security recognized him from the surveillance footage of when he showed up at Liv Morgan’s home just days prior. He is facing up to five years in prison.
