Killer Kross Admits It Bothered Him That He Did Not Speak To Triple H After Leaving WWE

Triple H and Killer Kross worked together since Kross was brought into the company in 2020, with Triple H immediately getting behind him in NXT.
Kross was released in 2021, but brought back when Triple H gained power as CCO in 2022. Kross would leave again in 2025 when his contract expired.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Kross was asked if he had anyone speaking for him as he renegotiated his contract last summer.
“I assumed I was going to be speaking with Hunter. I didn’t want to disrespect him by putting somebody in front of me after I had worked for him on and off for five years. We always had a rapport. I thought it would look odd to him and a slight if I would say, ‘Talk to my guy,'” he said.
Asked if he spoke with Triple H after he left WWE, he replied, “No.”
Asked if that bothered him, he said, “It did. It did, but I try to tell myself that there are things going on that are so strange that might not occur to you that perhaps he’s no longer in a position to speak to the talent anymore once they exit. I’m not an isolated situation. It’s not to throw shade at him at all. I don’t think anyone understands the nature of his position. I think everyone thinks he’s the boss and there is nothing attached to that. There is a whole hierarchy above him that perhaps he has to answer to, and perhaps he’s even told not to contact talent after. Maybe. It’s all a lot of maybes, but it did bother me. It bothered me very very much.”
Elsewhere during the interview, Kross commented on potentially joining AEW. You can find his full comments here.
Kross will be at MLW events in New York and Philadelphia this weekend. Fans can learn more here.
