NXT GM Robert Stone Announces WWE Men’s & Women’s Speed Titles Are Now Defunct

An update on the Speed Titles from Robert Stone.

It was at the 2026 NXT Heatwave Premium Live Event that a Triple Threat title unification match took place. Women’s North American Champion ZARIA, WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair, and Kali Armstrong competed in the bout.

Coming out on top was ZARIA, and she was then in possession of the Women’s North American and Women’s Speed Titles.

On the September 1st NXT on The CW, ZARIA met with General Manager Robert Stone in his office, and she had to decide which of her titles she wanted to continue to defend. ZARIA chose the Women’s North American Title and handed over the Speed Title.

Also in Stone’s office was BirthRight (Lexis King, Arianna Grace, Charlie Dempsey, Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo & Uriah Connors). King was in possession of the Men’s Speed Title, but Stone broke the news to him that, as a result of the Women’s Speed Title going away, the Men’s Speed Title is now defunct too.
