REPORT: El Hijo del Vikingo Suffered Injury While Prepping For Match On WWE NXT

The reason why El Hijo del Vikingo was not in action.

Advertised for the June 30th edition of WWE NXT on The CW was El Hijo del Vikingo defending the AAA Latin American Championship against E.K. Prosper.

Footage was shown of Keanu Carver attacking Vikingo backstage, and his reasoning was to prevent E.K. from getting a title match. Carver and Prosper wrestled on the show, and Prosper got the win.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the reason why Vikingo did not compete on the show is because while prepping for the match against Prosper, he suffered an injury. WWE decided to keep him off the show to evaluate him.

Vikingo captured the Latin American Title at AAA Noches de Los Grandes in May. He is in a group with Omos and Dorian Roldán.
