AEW Dynamite & NXT Viewership Up For May 6; AEW Viewership's Highest Since March

AEW Dynamite and NXT saw an increase in their viewership this week with each show having a loaded lineup.

According to numbers released by Showbuzz Daily, the May 5 episode of Dynamite averaged 732,000 viewers, which is up from last week's 693,000 viewers. Dynamite's viewership this week was the highest since the March 26 episode that averaged 819,000 viewers. NXT, on the other hand, averaged 663,000 viewers, which is up from last week's 637,000 viewers.

In the 18-49 demographic, Dynamite came out on top with a 0.28 rating, good for 12th best on cable for the day and up from last week's 0.27 rating. NXT drew a 0.18 rating in that demographic, which is 33rd best on cable and up from last week's 0.16 rating.

Dynamite featured the AEW in-ring debut of Matt Hardy as he teamed up with Kenny Omega to face the team of Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara. In addition, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and AEW Women's World Champion Nyla Rose each were victorious in their respective singles matches.

NXT this week had not one, but two title matches. The first one saw NXT Women's Champion Charlotte Flair retain her title against Io Shirai and in the main event, NXT Champion Adam Cole retained his title with a win against Velveteen Dream.
