The bout was won by AJ Gray, who was a late entrant into the match. He managed to outlast Jordan Oliver, Jimmy Lloyd, Alex Colon, PCO, Tony Deppen, and G-Raver to grab the brass ring. The finish saw Gray knock Lloyd off the ladder before unhooking the ring.

With his victory, Gray, who is the reigning GCW Extreme Champion, will receive a match of his choice at any time he wants it.

Lio Rush was originally scheduled to be in the bout, but did not appear. No explanation for Lio's absence was given. Lio would appear later in the night as a replacement for Jonathan Gresham to face Blake Christian.

Fightful Select reported AJ Gray was said to have been planned for the ladder match as of last week. Gray originally challenged Eddie Kingston to a bout at the event, but Kingston is sidelined with an orbital injury.
