AJ Styles Defends His WWE Title Against Samoa Joe At WWE Super Show-Down In No DQ Bout

Hell in a Cell won't be the end for AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.

Following SmackDown, it was announced that the WWE Champion will battle his arch nemesis on Oct. 6 at WWE Super Show-Down.

The two men first did battle in a WWE ring at SummerSlam. The bout ended in a disqualification when Styles smacked Joe with a chair after Joe made disparaging remarks towards Styles' wife and child, who were sitting ringside. A rematch took place at Hell in a Cell, with Styles coming out on top in a controversial finish. Styles rolled through Joe's coquina clutch, but tapped out before the ref counted three. However, the referee did not see the tap, giving Styles the victory.

On the Sept. 18 edition of SmackDown, Styles announced that the Super Show-Down bout would be no disqualification.

WWE Super Show-Down will take place on Oct. 6 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Fightful will provide full coverage of the event.
