Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm after his victory, Kane shared his thoughts and made it clear that he couldn't be happier. He recalled how he had faced a number of challenges in life, including being born premature, dealing with bullies, and facing a difficult home life. Kane emphasized that wrestling literally saved his life, as his dream to be a wrestler pushed him to persevere.

“I am on cloud nine. The little kid in me is doing this [spins in a circle]. We fucking made it. We fucking did it. I cried earlier when I called my dad. I’ve had a lot of roadblocks in life. I was born premature. Me and my twin brother, we were both born premature. Literally, the night that we were born, if they would have brought him home, he would have been dead. Then I had some stomach complications. They literally had to put my stomach on the other side of my body. That was nuts. My mom thought I wasn’t gonna make it out of there. They were already getting to say their goodbyes and everything. But did I do? I pulled through. Growing up as a kid, bullied for my looks, sometimes my skin color, everything. My parents didn’t have money or anything like that, so I’d get bullied for those things. There was a point in time where I wanted to take my own life. I didn’t want to exist on the planet anymore. Home life wasn’t super, super amazing, and then the school life just wasn’t getting better. But I put the belt around my neck, I tried to put something sturdy, and in that moment, the thought creeped in my head, I was like, ‘Yeah, you can’t do this. Your dream is to be a professional wrestler. If you do this right here, you can’t do that.’ I know people say all the time that wrestling saved their life. But wrestling literally saved my life," Kane said.

The champion then highlighted how he has overcome obstacles in MLW, and winning the title after the journey up to this point meant everything to him. Kane thanked fans for their support before he stated the team is going to keep going as he intends to run the table.

"Even my run here in MLW, I’ve had obstacle after obstacle after obstacle. I’ve overcome them all to finally get here. So to be World Heavyweight Champion means everything, and that’s thanks to all of you in the crowd, that’s thanks to the fight team, it’s all of that. But the buck don’t stop here. We gonna keep going. We gonna run the table," Kane said,

Kane was also asked to comment on how he felt as he joined a group of Black world champions, which includes Kofi Kingston, Bobby Lashley, Big E, and Ron Simmons, among others. He shared his excitement and noted that he hoped more wrestlers would join the group soon.

"Dude, the more I think about that, to be a world champion but to be in the same league as some of those great fucking names is the greatest thing ever. I hope that in the near future there are more, but for right now, we gonna rock with this," Kane said.
