Becky Lynch: "I’m Out Here Making People Actually Give A Damn About Wrestling"

"The Man" is moving full speed ahead.

"The Man" Becky Lynch is riding a new wave of momentum after capturing the RAW and SmackDown Women's Championships in the main event of WrestleMania 35 and doing-so by pinning her rival Ronda Rousey. With Lynch now holding two belts, there are more targets on her back and one of those targets revealed themselves to be Lacey Evans as Lacey and Becky have brawled on RAW and SmackDown this week.

Becky Lynch has noted on Twitter that she is not hiding from Lacey and Lacey reciprocated the same sentiments. Prior to main-eventing WrestleMania, Becky Lynch chatted with Scarlett Harris of 'Fanbyte' and stated that one way or another, she was going to main event the "Granddaddy Of Them All" and added that she is making people care about wrestling again.

“I was gonna find a way to get myself in the main event of WrestleMania one way or another,” she says. “I’m out here making people actually care, actually give a damn [about wrestling].”

All members of WWE's Four Horsewomen were in marquee matches at WrestleMania. Charlotte was in the main event along with Becky and Ronda Rousey, and Sasha Banks and Bayley defended their WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. Becky shared that when everyone started coming into their own, she felt like she lowered her potential so that she would not outshine anyone.

"With the Four Horsewomen when we started to break out, everybody wanted to see better from the other, instead of being competitive, you know, everyone wanted to step up their game,” Lynch says. “Everybody wanted to have the best match, everybody wanted to have the best reactions, and that helps everybody step up because nobody wants to be left behind. I think for a long time I used to dumb myself down because I didn’t want to outshine anyone or make anybody feel uncomfortable, and then once I stopped doing that and was like, no, you wanna get on my level, come meet me up here. I think it sparked a bit of a fire in everyone.”

Former 4-time RAW Women's Champion Sasha Banks reportedly wanted out from WWE after WrestleMania and more has unfolded from that story with her husband Sarath Ton posting subliminal messages on social media and for the latest on that story, click here.
