Brian Cage Rushed To ER After IMPACT World Championship Win At 'Rebellion'; Michael Elgin Debuts

Brian Cage's celebration was short-lived as Big Mike arrived in IMPACT Wrestling.

The semi-main event of IMPACT Wrestling's 'Rebellion' pay-per-view was the IMPACT World Championship match between the champion Johnny Impact and Brian Cage. Brian Cage lost a great deal of blood early on in the match but he was able to continue on to finish Impact off with the "Drill Claw" to become the new IMPACT World Champion.

There were distractions and inferences from official Johnny Bravo and IMPACT Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie who were in Johnny Impact's corner but once the Special Guest referee Lance Storm regained control of the ring, Cage capitalized on the evened odds and ended Johnny Impact's reign as world champion.

As Brian Cage was celebrating his title win in the ring, an unfamiliar theme song hit over the speakers and out came former IWGP Intercontinental Champion Michael Elgin who made quick work of the fatigued Brian Cage.

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced earlier this month that Michael Elgin departed from the company and now Elgin has arrived in IMPACT and has his sights set on becoming a major player in the company.

Cage's polarizing night was far from over. Many speculated that he'd injured himself during his title win. Those fears were accelerated when Impact announced he'd been rushed to the ER.
