Cash Wheeler Reveals He Shattered Big Toe At AEW Revolution 2023, Says It’s Gotten Worse Over The Years

An injury that Cash Wheeler is still feeling years later.

Guest appearing on Late Night Grin with Joe Hulbert was FTR’s Cash Wheeler. The three-time AEW World Tag Team Champion went over career moments and highlights during the chat.

He brought up the 2023 Revolution pay-per-view, where he and Dax Harwood returned to AEW. Wheeler detailed how he shattered his big toe at the event and said he’s still dealing with the pain from it.

“There’s so many other little nagging injuries these days. I can’t believe I’m about to ramble on about this one but, I broke my toe — it’s probably been almost four years ago now, maybe three — whenever we returned and beat up The Gunns after one of the pay-per-view matches. I think it was a Revolution in LA. I forgot I did not have steel-toe boots anymore, and I kicked the ring stairs and shattered my big toe, and it’s gotten worse over the time, over the years. I have no flexion in it anymore. I can’t really do a whole lot of bending of the foot and that’s honestly the most nagging thing because if I hit it during a match, I’m like, ‘Ooohh my God!!’ Little things that people never even know about or would ever think about, it’s those that bother me more than anything.”

FTR’s third reign as AEW World Tag Team Champions came to an end at Double or Nothing 2026, where they were defeated by Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in a tag team I Quit match.
