Cedric Alexander Wins WWE Cruiserweight Championship At WrestleMania 34

In his first WrestleMania match, Cedric Alexander is a champion.

Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander went one on one in the finals of the Cruiserweight Championship tournament during the WrestleMania 34 Kick Off Show. The championship had been vacant since October. Both men were brought to WWE as part of the Cruiserweight Classic.

The following is an excerpt from the Fightful Wrestling live coverage provided by David Tees.

Alexander then uses a push kick to send Ali across the ring, Alexander gets angry and he stomps away on a downed Ali. Ali escapes the Lumbar Check to nail Alexander with a reverse hurricarana, Ali follows that up by nailing Alexander with a tornado DDT and an 054 for a near fall.

Ali stomps away on a downed Alexander before going back up to the top rope, Ali then misses a second 054 attempt. Alexander then hits a dazed Ali with a series of spinning elbow strikes, Alexander hits Ali with a Lumbar Check a short time later for the three count.

Winner: Cedric Alexander, the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion

During the course of the tournament Alexander defeated Gran Metalik, TJ Perkins, Roderick Strong, and Ali.
