Chris Jericho Claims WWE Denied His Request To Have Their Talent On His Podcast Because Of AEW

Y2J sarcastically says that he is banned from WWE.

Former 4-time WWE World Champion Chris Jericho has regained sole control of his wrestling career over the past two years and that began with venturing to New Japan Pro Wrestling to have a marquee match at Wrestle Kingdom 12 with Kenny Omega. That match led to an IWGP Intercontinental Championship run and a second marquee match at a Wrestle Kingdom.

Jericho was then announced to be joining Cody, The Young Bucks and Tony Khan in building up the up-start company All Elite Wrestling. Chris Jericho has openly spoke about his decision to not return to WWE and stated that he knows he would've been in the same position that he was in when he was last there if he were to return. Over the months since he was announced to be a part of AEW, Jericho shared that he has had conversations with Vince McMahon to inform the WWE Chairman about his next move out of loyalty and while guest appearing on the Jim Norton and Sam Roberts radio show, Jericho stated that he recently asked WWE to provide some talent that could appear on his podcast but claimed that he was denied the request because of his affiliation with AEW.

“I’ve talked to him [Vince McMahon] a couple of times but I’m kind of public enemy number one there now. I’ve been kind of removed from the annals of history." Jericho said. "I asked the other day if I could have a couple of their guys on my podcast to promote Mania and I was told, ‘No, it’s not appropriate because you’re in AEW’ so, I am banned from WWE.” Jericho said sarcastically about being ‘banned’. “I think my stuff is still on there [WWE Network]. I haven’t been disgraced but as far as I know, they had to take some videos down from UpUpDownDown of me playing. Took that off. They edited some stuff from the Edge and Christian Show that had my name on it so... “
