Chris Jericho Discusses ‘Tommy’s Mommy’ Line On AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho speaks about the line.

The opening segment of AEW Dynamite: Summer Blockbuster on June 10th was Tommaso Ciampa getting heated with Tony Schiavone, and then Chris Jericho came out as he and Ciampa are currently feuding.

During their verbal exchange, Jericho referred to Ciampa as ‘Tommy.’ Ciampa responded by saying he’s the Psycho Killer and not even his own mother calls him Tommy. That led to Jericho saying ‘Tommy’s Mommy’ and the crowd began to chant that.

While appearing on Busted Open, Jericho commented on the line.

“Well, you know, you always try different things to have some fun and sometimes you do a little bit more laughing stuff and sometimes you do a little bit more serious stuff but, it all ends up being good so, the live crowd enjoyed the Tommy’s Mommy. So, we had a good time. It was a great show, and a great crowd in Cincinnati for sure.”

Before feuding with Ciampa, Jericho was engaged in a program with Ricochet that concluded at Double or Nothing in the Stadium Stampede match.
