After seeing how MJF won the Dynamite Diamond Ring, Cody couldn't help but comment.
Over the weekend, MJF revealed his list of wrestlers that he wouldn't face, with only Cody's name appearing on the list. MJF turned on his "best friend" Cody at AEW Full Gear, costing him the AEW World Title bout by throwing in the towel against Chris Jericho. On the subsequent episode of AEW Dynamite, with the help of the debuting Wardlow, MJF choked out Cody.
MJF won the Dynamite Diamond Ring against Hangman Page on last Wednesday's AEW Dynamite by using Cody's finisher The Cross Rhodes. However, MJF's Cross Rhodes looked nothing like Cody's version of the move.
During an in-ring promo on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, Cody commented on MJF's version of the move saying, "at least they're botching it on two channels now." NXT's Damian Priest also uses the move, calling it The Reckoning.
Cody also called out MJF for his fake scarf before offering his truck, his shoes, $50,000 and more if MJF would be willing to step into the ring with him.
MJF offered up the following response, revealing he sent The Butcher, The Blade, and The Bunny to attack Cody and turning down Cody's offer.
