Colby Corino On Returning To NWA: It Feels Great To Be Home Again, I'm Here To Do The Work

Colby Corino comments on returning to the NWA.

Corino had been signed with the NWA since 2021, and he confirmed that he was a free agent in January 2023. He reportedly signed with WWE, but the deal fell through, as the second-generation star entered free agency again in May. Corino returned to the NWA at the Crockett Cup pay-per-view and earned a shot at the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship.

Speaking on the NWA Livestream, Corino discussed his return to the NWA. He made it clear that he feels like he's home again, and he's happy to be back. Moving forward, he stated that he intends to win gold and take his spot.

"It feels great for me. It feels like I’m home again. I stepped away and I felt directionless. I didn’t have that environment, I didn’t have my people, I didn’t have the crowd with me anymore. Even if I did indie shows, it’s just the same. The environment in the NWA, especially backstage, is just next level. It’s second to none. So it feels great to be home. But I ain’t just here to have fun and hang out with my buddies. I got championships on the mind. I’m here to do the work. I’m not here to just sit around and just wait my turn. I’m here to take my turn. I’m here to take my spot," Corino said.

Later in the conversation, Corino stated that part of the reason he came back to the NWA is that it's one of the best places in wrestling where he can provide for his family.
