Daniel Cormier wants Brock Lesnar to speed up the process of returning to the UFC.
It is four months away from it being a full year since the current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar last stepped into an octagon at a UFC event. Lesnar made his return to the octagon in July of 2018 to confront the UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier after Cormier defeated Stipe Miocic for the Heavyweight belt. Following that confrontation and on numerous occasions after, Cormier expressed that he wants to have the fight with Lesnar and has been eager for "The Beast Incarnate" to get back to MMA so they can clash.
UFC President Dana White recently stated that he expects to hear from Brock Lesnar after WrestleMania 35. Following last night's UFC Fight Night: Nashville event, Daniel Cormier joined ESPN to recap the show and stated that he may be taking a trip to MetLife stadium soon to cost Brock his Universal Title at WrestleMania.
“I don’t have a fight exactly scheduled yet but I’ve got my eyes on Brock Lesnar,” Cormier said. “I may go to WWE’s WrestleMania, and I may go cost him his title over there so he can hurry up and get to the UFC so I can beat him here.”
Brock Lesnar's WrestleMania 35 opponent Seth Rollins is good friends with Daniel Cormier. Seth Rollins sent Cormier a message after Brock and Daniel's confrontation at UFC 226 and to read what that message was, click here.
