In 2005, WWE fans would witness a custody battle that took place live on WWE television and pay-per-view, as Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio fought for the custody of Dominik Mysterio, who was a young child at the time. The pair would face off in a ladder match at SummerSlam 2005, with Dominik featuring as part of the bout. In the end, Rey would end up capturing the victory with help from Vickie Guerrero, something that Dominik has ranted about in the past.
While speaking to the Happy Hour podcast in a new interview, Dominik Mysterio spoke about being on WWE television as a kid, noting that while he loved watching wrestling, he didn’t enjoy having the attention on him.
“I hated it. Not wrestling, I loved wrestling. I loved watching it. I just didn’t enjoy the attention on me.”
