Later that day, Dustin confirmed that he was staying on with the company, saying that he likes it there. He would add that though he is sad to see them go, "the train keeps moving."

Dustin took to Twitter on the evening of February 17, hyping up the aforementioned AEW train.

He had another tweet about "too many egos" and keeping one's nose out of trouble with the hashtag "I'm Still Here."

Dustin last wrestled at AEW Battle of the Belts, replacing Cody in his scheduled match against Sammy Guevara. Sammy would win the match, capturing the interim AEW TNT Title in the process.
